SAFE! Issues That Affect Today’s Teens and How Parents Can Help

It's about help. It's about hope. It's about peace of mind.

Program

On November 19, 2019, MMS PTA hosted a parent program by the Grant Halliburton Foundation for straight talk about adolescent stress, social media, peer pressure, mental health, bullying and other issues facing today’s youth.

Our speaker was Vanita Halliburton, president of the Grant Halliburton Foundation--a non-profit organization that works to raise awareness and understanding of adolescent mental health and suicide prevention. She speaks from the heart about her son’s battle with depression and bipolar disorder and his suicide at the age of 19.
